World Cup Festival at Holmes Park INFORMATION

This tournament is intended to highlight the "England Football Day" as England open their group stage games on Saturday evening out in South Africa at the World Cup.
I am really pleased to say that all the children will get to play in some of the games and I thought that you would appreciate a note of the information that we have received from the organizers & also to confirm the details provided for Saturday.
Venue - Leics & Rutland CFA, Holmes Park, Dog & Gun Lane, Whetstone, Leicester LE8 6FA.
Age groups - U7's, U8's & U9's
Time - 9.30am to 3.00pm (allowing us all time to get home for England v USA)
Registration - starts at 9.30am
First games will start at 10am
Full refreshments will be available from inside the Sportsman's Lounge.
U7's - teams will play in a 5 aside 'round robin' league, playing each other once.
Time per game is 8 mins one way.
Maximum number of players per team is 7 (we have 6)
All players will receive a certificate & a medal, courtesy of the FA & its Community Partner - McDonalds.
Kits - we will be providing kits & your child needs to remember to bring along football boots (they will be playing on grass) & no child will be allowed to play without shinpads.
Note that the County FA will be taking photos of the event to help promote "England Football Day".
Please note that at this stage we do not know the timings of the games and we have simply been told that the tournament runs until approx 3.00pm |
